Iran strongly decries Israeli regime aggression against Gaza

Qomnews , 21 Oct 2023 - 16:30

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Nasser Kan’ani, strongly condemned Israel’s recent attack on a church in Gaza where displaced Palestinians were seeking shelter.

Kan’ani referred to this attack as another “disgraceful” crime committed by Israeli forces, citing previous strikes on a hospital and mosques.

He criticized the Zionist regime and its leaders for their series of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The attack on the Saint Porphyrius Church resulted in the deaths of at least 16 people, with Israel claiming it was targeting a neighboring building.

Kan’ani emphasized that this attack demonstrates Israel’s disregard for humanitarian, moral, and religious values, as well as international norms and regulations.

He also held the United States and some European countries accountable for supporting the Israeli regime. Kan’ani called for the crimes to be documented and for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also condemned the attack, comparing it to the actions of terrorist groups like Daesh.

The war on Gaza, initiated by Israel on October 7, has resulted in the deaths of over 4,100 Palestinians and has caused a humanitarian crisis due to the blockade imposed by Israel.

The United Nations has raised concerns about Israel’s actions potentially violating international law and forcibly displacing civilians.
