Qomnews : Ceremonies to observe Itikaf were held at selected mosques of Qom city from early Saturday morning (January 3, 2026) until Monday evening.
According to Qom News The spiritual event was part of nationwide observances of Itikaf, an Islamic practice in which Muslims stay in a mosque for a specified number of days, devoting themselves to prayer and refraining from worldly affairs.
Also, a number of non‑Iranian students from Al‑Mustafa International University, along with foreign residents of Qom, took part in the spiritual ceremony of itikaf at Imam Hasan al‑Askari (a.s.) Mosque in Qom.
Coinciding with the arrival of the 13th day of Rajab, the devotional and spiritual Itikaf ceremony began in Qom’s Jameh Mosque and Imam Hasan al‑Askari (a.s.) Mosque with the participation of people from various walks of life, including many youth. Worshippers entered into three days of spiritual retreat and servitude to God.
