Qom metro a successful example of relying on domestic capability

One of the remarkable effects of the Qom city train is the localization of equipment, focusing on knowledge-based companies, by removing the seismic carpet, binders and super-elastic layers.

The move can solve the country’s need for foreign exchange in the next projects of metro construction in the cities, and while saving foreign currency and speeding up the implementation plans, it can also provide the basis for the export of these important products.

Also, the “Cross-over” complete needle pack was made by one of the knowledge-based companies in the country to change the displacement of the city train, and for the first time, it was installed and tested hot and cold on the Qom metro line.

It should be noted that previously, only France had the technology to make these needles.

Energy and ventilation equipment, which was previously imported from Switzerland and other Western European countries, is now 100% localized in the country from design, manufacture and installation.

The operation and completion of the urban train does not mean a revolution in the development or improvement of the transportation and traffic situation in Qom, but it is a very crucial, big, and fundamental step in the development of the public transportation network and social justice with environmental features.
